Born in Boston USA, from the age of 8 Kevin was raised in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada. Singing since the age of 5 and playing piano from the age of 8, music has been a true passion that has taken him all over the world. From piano lessons as a boy to studying Classical and Jazz Voice, Composition and Arranging at St F.X. University, Kevin’s voice and songwriting have matured through his many experiences.
Kevin has performed throughout Canada, The U.S. and Europe in bands and as a solo and dueling pianist. He has also worked as a studio vocalist and voice over artist in Canada and the U.S. and was recruited for vocals on a number of projects in New York including a major motion picture for Kevin Hunter (Manager, Natalie Cole). His performances have been as varied as playing in a hotel lobby to a concert for 50,000 people.
As a songwriter, Kevin has been a member of Socan for many years as well as becoming a member of NSAI and AIMP. His music was featured on national CBC Radio shows and he has won several awards including Q104’s Homegrown songwriting contest, a Canada Council Grant and in 2009 Kevin won AIMP’s song pitch for David Cook (Idols Winner USA) in NYC. He has performed his original music at The BlueBird Café in Nashville, The Living Room NYC and has had several songs featured on albums from Switzerland (UEFA 2008) to South Africa. In 2011, he signed a publishing deal with Piapella/Talpa in Holland.
Kevin has written with some great producers and writers while in the Netherlands including, Fluitsma & vanTijn, Martijn Spierenburg (Within Temptation), Holger Swedt , Sander Rozeboom(Caro Emerald) and Tjeerd Oosterhuis to name a few.
As a proud family man Kevin divides his time between their home in Austria and work in The Netherlands with his wife Sibylle and their 5-year-old daughter, Tia.
